Skorpios Technologies, an innovator in composite silicon photonic technology, announced it has entered into a strategic development agreement with Nokia Siemens Networks, expanding the business relationship between both companies. Together the companies will deliver optical networking solutions to communications customers.

Neustar Inc., a provider of solutions and directory services to enable trusted communication across networks, announced that it is working with Rogers Communications Inc. Rogers Communications is Canada’s largest provider of wireless voice and data communications services and will be working with Neustar to enable application developers using the Neustar Intelligent Cloud service simple access to a variety of the Rogers application programming interfaces including SMS, location-based services and billing, through the Rogers Catalyst platform.

Azimuth Systems Inc., a provider of wireless channel emulators and targeted test solutions, introduced its new fully automated, end-to-end ACE OTA device test solution. Azimuth’s advanced over-the-air test methodology combines a mobile isotropic chamber with the company’s ACE MX MIMO channel emulator to create an environment where devices can be tested in their native form — in the same mode as they are used in real-world conditions.

Inova Solutions announced that it has joined the Cisco Developer Network as a solution developer within the unified communications technology category. In addition, Inova LightLink version 5.7 has successfully completed interoperability testing with Cisco. The Cisco Developer Network unites Cisco with third-party developers of hardware and software to deliver tested interoperable solutions to joint customers.

The latest Mobile HD Voice report from the GSA (Global mobile Suppliers Association) confirms commercial network service and deployments worldwide. Several models of phones are now shipping with HD Voice (W-AMR) activated as default. HD Voice transmits a broader spectrum of the human voice; therefore conversation is more natural and is likened to speaking to the other party in the same room. HD Voice also helps people hear better in noisy environments.

Clarity announced that it has completed the second phase of its deployment at Western Power, providing it with a scalable Telecommunications Network Management System (TNMS) that will be capable of supporting the continued growth and increasing complexity of their network.

WeFi Inc., creator of the world’s first and largest global database of Wi-Fi networks, announced a new product, WeANDSF. In trial with several U.S. and European carriers, WeANDSF is the first 3GPP standard-compliant carrier grade Wi-Fi connectivity and offloading solution for managing access to wireless networks. The solution provides mobile operators with the necessary intelligence to manage internet access over wireless networks – whether Wi-Fi, 3G or 4G – according to 3GPP standards.
