Communications Test Design, Inc. : (CTDI), the world´s largest independent communications repair and logistics provider, today announced a joint venture, CTDI do Brasil, with São Paolo, Brazil-based Network UNO. The company, whose headquarters will be located in Campinas, São Paolo, will provide telecommunications carriers and OEM customers in Brazil with CTDI´s full range of products and services including wireline and wireless repair and logistics; engineering and network deployment services; telecom product engineering and manufacturing; IT system integration; and customer premises equipment repair including set-top boxes and modems.
According to Dave Burt, CTDI vice president of international business, “Latin America, particularly Brazil, is a rapidly growing market for telecommunications products and services. Because of Network UNO´s strong position as a leading supplier of fixed, mobile and data communications equipment and service throughout the region, they are the perfect partner to help CTDI continue to expand our global service portfolio.”
CTDI currently services telecommunications carriers and OEMs through 45 international repair and logistics locations including facilities in the United Kingdom, Germany, Hungary, India and Mexico.
Rodrigo Abreu, director of sales and marketing and one of the founders of Network UNO, said, “The global resources of CTDI will enable us to better serve the needs of telecommunications operators and OEMs by addressing their continuously evolving engineering, logistics, repair and products supply needs.” CTDI do Brasil´s executive leadership includes Abreu and the company´s other two founders, Juliano Miyake, director of operations and finance, and Franklin Tomich, supply chain director.
CTDI do Brasil´s state-of-the-art facility in Campinas includes a repair laboratory to service multivendor wireless, wireline and data communications equipment. Set-top box refurbishment, repair and screening and logistics services related to the pay television market are expected to be fast-growth areas for the company.
