AUSTIN, Texas– Famigo Games won first place in Mobile Mondays’Austin AppCircus. Famigo is a social networking site designed for families around games. Parents create accounts as a family and can monitor their children’s social interactions in a safe environment, letting them interact with family and the neighborhood, if parents approve the connection. The service is available today on the Apple iPad and iPhone.
First-runner up in the competition was Qrank, a trivia application designed around events.
Winners were announced at the Texas Wireless Summit, held earlier this week in Austin by the Austin Technology Incubator and the Wireless Networking and Communications Group at the University of Texas-Austin.

The companies were judged based on application originality, creativity and innovation as well as business model, validity and execution.
