LTE Americas awards companies, individuals for LTE advances

Several companies and individuals were honored for their contributions to the LTE industry at this year’s LTE Americas event earlier this week in Dallas.
Alcatel-Lucent won three of the nine awards. The company took home honors for best network or device testing product, best green LTE product or initiative in North America, and significant progress for a commercial launch of LTE by a vendor in the North America region.
Other winners include Huawei, which one for best contribution to R&D; Brian K. Daly of AT&T for best contribution to LTE standards in North America; Ubidyne for best North American LTE startup company this year; Cisco for best enabling product or technology for LTE by a North American company; Verizon for significant progress for a commercial launch of LTE by a North American carrier; and Moray Rumney of Agilent for individual contribution to LTE development in North America.
