QNX shows off LTE connected car

We took a stationary spin in the back of QNX’s connected concept car at the Embedded System Conference (ESC) in San Jose, Calif., this week.
The car, a Toyota Prius kitted out by QNX and partner Alcatel Lucent, is a rather nifty future concept, based on the basic premise that someday soonish a 4G network will enable an always-on broadband pipe to the car.
Connected up to the cloud, the car’s potential is incredible. Think streaming high definition video to multiple different screens, being able to use Google street view, see up to date traffic information, or even the nearest Star Bucks and directions on how to get there.
Not to mention the possibilities for music streaming, online gaming and more.
Check out the two videos below to see what your car could be like in the very near future.
