@MWC: Maximizer targets BlackBerry users with CRM solution

Maximizer Software has launched its entirely first mobile product exclusively for BlackBerry handsets that is geared to free workers from laptops and reduce downtime in the field for sales and service professionals.
The customer relationship management software company is unveiling its CRM 10.5 Freedom for the popular Research In Motion Ltd. handsets this week at GSMA World Mobile Congress in Barcelona.
The solution offers real-time wireless access to business information through a mobile dashboard, which allows workers to monitor sales performance and service activities from their mobile handsets, said Angie Hirata, the company’s director of marketing and business development.
It is also easy to install as IT managers can e-mail the solution to workers that have BlackBerry devices. Workers can then install the software with one-click integration.
Hirata said the solution is being offered exclusively for BlackBerry users because “it’s the most popular mobile platform our customers use,” she said.
Maximizer is offering three editions of the solution that is geared for small businesses, companies and large conglomerates that use BlackBerry handsets, including the Storm.
RIM and Maximizer are working together to market the product. The solution will be offered to customers as an upgrade and companies that are likely to use it are in sales or financial services, Hirata said.
Freedom “can give users timely access to the best available information from their BlackBerry smartphones, increasing productivity and flexibility in the field,” Jeff McDowell, RIM VP of global alliances, said in a statement.
