Networking to drive user-generated content

Social network services will dominate the market for mobile user-generated content, said a new report from research firm Juniper Research.
The company said end-user-generated revenues from social networking, dating and personal content delivery services will grow from $572 million this year to more than $5.7 billion in 2012. Social networking will account for half of that revenue, said Juniper.
The number of active users of mobile social networking sites is expected to grow from 14 million this year to nearly 600 million in 2012, said the company.
Holden said the highest levels of growth during the medium term could come from developing markets where people are using predominantly mobile phones to access the Internet.
