SinglePoint to lean on MIG for interactive TV

Mobile messaging company SinglePoint is teaming with Mobile Interactive Group to expand its interactive television campaigns in the United States.
The Seattle-area company said it will use MIG’s high-speed SMS voting platform as well as an interactive TV application designed to deliver targeted messages to consumers. SinglePoint, which last year rebranded from Wireless Services Corp., powers a premium SMS, cross-carrier campaign for “American Idol.”
MIG is a U.K.-based multimedia interactive services provider with customers including “American Idol” producer Fremantle Media, Endemol, Celador and broadcast network ITV.
“SinglePoint is among the top mobile message connectivity solutions providers in the U.S. and a perfect partner for our clients who are looking to expand their mobile marketing campaigns into the U.S.,” said Barry Houlihan, managing director of MIG. “This partnership will enable SinglePoint and MIG to offer world-class mass participation mobile technology and messaging services to one of the fastest-growing mobile interactive markets in the world.”
