SmarTVideo pushing Dennis Miller to mobile

ORLANDO, Fla.-SmarTVideo Technologies Inc. announced a deal to deliver live mobile broadcasts of Dennis Miller’s radio talk show.
The Atlanta-based company, which operates the under the brand uVuMobile, said it will offer a free 30-day trial to mobile users for the three-hour program live. The show will also be available for download following the live broadcasts.
SmarTVideo also provides a video broadcast service for smartphone users that includes content from ABC, Disney Mobile, NBC Universal and Fox Sports. The firm is teaming with Westwood One on the Dennis Miller show, which will be offered at $4 per month following the free trial.
The program runs on SmarTVideo’s Mobilecasting application, which couples multimedia with a social networking chat feature. The platform also serves as an ad-delivery vehicle for pre-rolls, interstitials and other marketing messages.
“If you take a step back and take a look at it, radio is a business that is trying to figure out its future,” said Tony Novia, senior vice president of content and distribution. “It’s a push business in a pull world.”
