Verizon Wireless taps Motorola for EV-DO Rev. A

LOS ANGELES—Verizon Wireless extended Motorola Inc.’s deal to supply the carrier with CDMA equipment, announcing that Motorola will supply it with EV-DO Revision A gear.

Ed Salas, vice president of network planning at Verizon Wireless, commented that, “Motorola has been a long-time CDMA infrastructure supplier to Verizon Wireless, and continues to offer us high-quality CDMA technology solutions that help us meet our customers’ ever growing needs for wireless broadband services.”

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
