PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa.-SmartServ Online Inc. is negotiating to acquire New York-based distributor of international prepaid calling cards KPCCD Inc. in a deal the company hopes to close by Aug. 30.
SmartServ, a mobile marketing company, expects the proposed acquisition to generate revenues of as much as $2 million per month. KPCCD was founded in 1998 and distributes prepaid calling cards through a network of hundreds of retail outlets along the East Coast.
“The completion of this acquisition will provide SmartServ with direct access to KPCCD’s retailers and expand our existing distribution network for SmartServ’s wireless products, services and mobile content,” said Robert Pons, SmartServ chief executive officer.
