Verizon plans symposium on data services

WOBURN, Mass.-Verizon Wireless said it plans to hold a “Wireless Data Symposium” March 30 in Burlington, Mass., in an attempt to familiarize the community with the carrier’s data service offerings including those designed for public safety.

The carrier said the symposium will focus on its CDMA2000 1x-based NationalAccess network and will include guest vendors and participants from Lucent Technologies Inc., Airlink, Panasonic, Sierra Wireless, Padcom and NetMotion.
