Opto 22 signs integration contracts

TEMECULA, Calif.-Opto 22, which manufactures hardware and software for industrial automation, remote monitoring, enterprise data acquisition and machine-to-machine applications, announced two new integration deals.

The company has integrated Sony Ericsson’s GT48 control terminal with Opto 22’s OptoGSM I/O hardware. The result is improved, lower-cost and more flexible wireless systems for MTM applications, said the company.

The new product provides an off-the-shelf M2M solution for customers who want to monitor, control and acquire operational data from enterprise machines, systems and equipment.

The company also announced it has integrated Kyocera Wireless Corp.’s 200 telemetry module with Opto 22 SNAP I/O hardware resulting in an M2M system for remote asset monitoring, management and data acquisition over CDMA networks.
