TORONTO-Tira Wireless announced Telus Mobility and THQ Wireless purchased its Jump application porting service. The service ensures that Java applications will run smoothly on a variety of handset models.
“Tira Jump delivered significant cost and time-to-market savings for us by providing the ability to quickly port applications for use across all of our PCS handsets,” said Robert Blumenthal, Telus Mobility’s vice president of products and services. “Within a three-week period, a total of 57 application versions were created for our PCS service-that’s one-fifth the time it would have taken traditional porting companies to achieve this manually.”
