ANNAPOLIS, Md.-Northcoast PCS and Thumb Cellular will use technology from TeleCommunication Systems Inc. to meet the Phase II E911 requirements set forth by the Federal Communications Commission.
The carriers will use TCS’ HPDE service, which combines location determination, with its Xypoint Location Platform.
“Reliable E911 service is an important part of delivering the highest quality wireless service to our customers,” said John Giannella, Northcoast PCS’ president. “TCS was the logical choice to support Northcoast PCS’ Phase II E911 deployment because of its deep understanding of the technology and its many years of proven deployment experience.”
