Portuguese operator to include Opera browser

LISBON, Portugal-Portuguese mobile operator Optimus said it will include Opera Software’s mobile Web browser on Optimus Zone, its new multimedia service supported by the Nokia 3650 and 7650 smart phones.

Optimus is the first mobile operator to include the Opera browser by default for its smart phones, Opera said.

Opera has touted its small-screen rendering technology, which it said makes the Web available on small smart-phone screens.

Opera has localized the browser for Optimus, making it available in Portuguese.
