Aether posts 4Q revenue increase

OWINGS MILLS, Md.-Wireless enterprise company Aether Systems Inc. said it scored $29.5 million in revenues for its fourth quarter, up slightly from the $25.2 million it reported in the same quarter last year.

The company’s net loss for the quarter was $24.1 million, way down from the loss of $106.8 million the company reported in the same quarter last year.

“In 2002, Aether successfully controlled costs and streamlined operations while maintaining our revenue base in what continued to be a challenging economy,” said Dave Oros, Aether’s chairman and chief executive officer.

Aether said it expects revenues to remain about the same for the coming quarter.
