RESTON, Va.-Wireless data carrier Motient Corp. cut its workforce by 29 percent, a total of 94 positions, in order to save money in a tight economy.
About half the layoffs were at the company’s Reston headquarters.
The carrier, which emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May with a greatly reduced debt load, will employ about 229 workers after the cuts.
