TOKYO-In support of the launch of its I-mode service in Europe, NTT DoCoMo Inc. said it will establish a consulting firm in the Netherlands.
The carrier said the European venture, DoCoMo I-mode Europe B.V., will provide consultation regarding technology and marketing as well as support in the setup and operation of I-mode services. The firm will support European carriers licensed to offer I-mode technology including the Netherlands’ KPN Mobile N.V., Germany’s E-Plus Mobilfunk GmbH & Co. KG, Belgium’s BASE and France’s Bouygues Telecom S.A.
