Sierra amends supply agreement with AT&T Wireless

VANCOUVER, British Columbia-Sierra Wireless announced it has amended its supply agreement with AT&T Wireless Services Inc. and AT&T Wireless has given commercial acceptance to Sierra Wireless’ AirCard 710 wireless network card.

The agreement now says Sierra Wireless will supply AT&T Wireless with the AirCard 710 and the AirCard 750, for use on AT&T’s GSM/GPRS wireless network. Shipments of the cards, valued at about $6.5 million total, will begin third quarter 2002 with completion expected fourth quarter 2003.

“We look forward to our first U.S. launch of the AirCard 710 and to satisfying the needs of demanding mobile professionals who require real-time wireless access to e-mail, corporate applications and the Internet,” said Jason Cohenour, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Sierra Wireless.
