Econet Nigeria extends coverage

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa-Econet Nigeria announced it extended its network coverage by connecting the town of Eket in the Akwa Ibom state to its network.

The operator’s network coverage is now reported to include the cities of Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Warri, Uyo, Asaba, Onitsha, Kano, Benin and Ota.

Bolaji Balogun, chief marking officer for Econet Wireless Nigeria, said the extension of coverage was part of the operator’s promise to roll out services to the entire Nigerian nation within three years.

Balogun added the network coverage would soon extend across all the major roads of the country.
