LONDON—British Telecommunications plc plans to rename its BT Wireless unit mm02 next year following the planned spinoff of the division to BT shareholders later this year. Though the wireless division names will officially include the “mm,” it will be promoted as 02 to consumers in BT’s operating units Cellnet in Britain, Viag in Germany, Telfort in the Netherlands and Esat Digifone in Ireland.
