CHELMSFORD, Mass.-Axis Communications announced a new direction in its corporate strategy, forming a mobile Internet business segment dedicated to developing proximity-based wireless technologies and services.
In support of the move, the company named Magnus Karsund its chief executive officer and Mikael Nilsson vice president of corporate strategy. Both are former L.M. Ericsson executives.
