MOTOROLA, AUDIBLE DOWNLOAD AUDIO CONTENT TO HANDSETS

NEW ORLEANS-Motorola Inc. and Audible, a provider of Internet-delivered spoken audio content, demonstrated at Personal Communications Showcase ’99 in New Orleans the direct downloading of spoken audio content to digital wireless phones.

The demonstration showcased the ability of Motorola’s i1000plus digital handset to download and play a selection of spoken media such as audio books, magazine and newspaper digests, lectures and language lessons, among other things, from Audible.com using Motorola’s integrated Dispatch Enhanced Network technology.
