BURLINGTON, Mass.-Powertel Inc. said it will use Lightbridge Inc.’s FraudBuster service to detect and prevent technical and subscription fraud.
FraudBuster is a UNIX-based software product designed to identify wireless usage trends and patterns to detect fraud in the back-end.
In addition to FraudBuster, the personal communications services carrier is using other integrated solutions offered within Lightbridge’s Telesto network of integrated customer-acquisition and retention solutions.
