SAN FRANCISCO-E&Y Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group formed a new business group to provide strategic consulting services to the telecommunications sector.
Stephen Polito, leader of the new firm, said the timing of the initiative is perfect because the business of siting new antennas is “in unprecedented demand. The supporting disciplines of the industry-site acquisition and construction management-have been confined to a relatively small group of service providers and, with a phenomenal increase in demand, resources are taxed,” he said.
“The critical aspect for license holders is not simply how quickly and efficiently they locate sites and have them approved by local community governments; the true objective is to develop the sites and activate the network,” Polito added. “Our clients and their competitors are exposed to huge interest costs and mounting expenses for every day an antenna is out of commission.”
