DALLAS-PrimeCo Personal Communications L.P. launched its personal communications services network in Mobile, Ala., using equipment supplied by Lucent Technologies Inc.
This is PrimeCo’s 17th launch in a major U.S. city using Code Division Multiple Access technology and the 10th launch using Lucent’s equipment. Lucent networks also are available in Tampa, Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Richmond and Norfolk, Va., New Orleans and Houston.
