SANTA ANA, Calif.-PageStar Inc. entered an agreement with Paging Network Inc. for nationwide paging services to be used in conjunction with its StarTrak vehicle tracking and recovery system.
StarTrak allows customers to control their vehicles from anywhere in the world. Vehicles can be made to simulate running out of gas to force a thief to abandon a stolen car equipped with StarTrak. Or customers may lock and unlock doors or disable the vehicle by calling the PageStar Control Center.
Also with StarTrack, owners are notified by pager or telephone as soon as their vehicle is stolen. The PageStar Control Center contacts local police and provides them with the vehicle’s location information. PageStar said vehicles can be tracked anywhere in the United States using satellite and paging technologies.
