CENTURY TELEPHONE PLANS TO AC QUIRE RSA

MONROE, La.-Century Telephone Enterprises Inc. announced it has signed a letter of intent with Cone Enterprises Inc. to acquire for cash the assets of the Mississippi rural service area 7 cellular operation.

The RSA is adjacent to Century’s Jackson metropolitan statistical area and Mississippi RSA 6 systems. Century will gain 179,000 pops.
