CHARLOTTE, N.C.-Glenayre Technologies Inc. announced it has completed the installation of five Modular Voice Processing Systems for Bell Atlantic Nynex Mobile’s cellular subscribers in North and South Carolina and Virginia.
Glenayre said Bell Atlantic Nynex will use the MVP System to deploy its Mobile Messenger Voice Mail service. Throughout 1996, Bell Atlantic Nynex plans to offer additional enhanced services to its cellular subscribers using the MVP system. The features include Direct Dial, which will give customers the ability to make multiple calls and direct-dial long-distance calls from inside their MVP mailbox. Another feature the company plans to offer is Rapid Response. With the feature, customers can obtain a call-back number from a caller, either automatically or by input from the caller. Once the call-back number is captured, subscribers can return the call from their mailbox with a single keystroke, Glenayre said.
