HP OFFERS CARRIERS CUSTOMER SOLUTIONS

DALLAS-Hewlett-Packard Co. is combining the core competencies of its test measurement and computer systems businesses to provide a new Total Customer Management solution for wireless carriers.

TCM combines customer and network data for sharing through layers of carrier management, the company said.

“Everyone in the organization is empowered with the relevant information they need to quickly make informed decisions-whether it’s customer service representatives answering customer billing inquiries, network operations tracking down problems, management responding to competitive changes in the marketplace or marketing initiating a new sales campaign,” said Andre Meyer, general manager of HP’s Telecommunications Systems Business Unit.

HP said data could include fault, performance, asset and inventory information as well as the monitoring of Signaling System 7 traffic and performance in real time.

The data is displayed at the desktop via an intuitive graphical user interface for optimal call-center efficiency to improve customer service and telesales, the company said.
