WINCHESTER, Mass.-Metrica Inc. said it has signed an agreement with Turkcell to supply network performance technology for its Global System for Mobile communications network in Turkey. Metrica will also supply the technology to DeTeMobil’s network in Germany.
Metrica said its Metrica/NPR software system will gather performance statistics from switches and base station controllers or similar network components.
The system stores days, months and years of counter data and lets operators mine this resource, offering flexible tools for daily, weekly and monthly reports on network operating parameters in numerous graphical and statistical formats.
Information on grade of service, cell traffic, blocked calls and other element performance statistics are analyzed to improve network management.
Metrica said it also is offering Turkcell its Performance Alarm Server, which monitors network performance.
