SALT LAKE CITY-U S West Cellular announced customers in Utah beginning today have access to Caller Pays service.
Callers using the service will be billed 45 cents per minute on their monthly U S West Communications Inc. bills, plus any toll charges if the call is considered long distance. To alert callers that the call is not toll-free, users are required to dial “1 + 801” before the seven-digital cellular number to complete the call. U S West also offers Caller Pays service in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Idaho.
