Hewlett Packard Co. announced it has made enhancements to its parallel cell/traffic generator and analyzer system, designed to speed up the verification process of asynchronous transfer mode designs. The HP E4829B is a verification tool built for the new generation of ATM-switch architectures, the company said. It incorporates the ATM Forum-recommended Universal Test and Operations PHY Interface Level 2/multiple physical interfaces standards. The standards allow multiple interfaces to connect to one ATM layer/switch-fabric port, enabling concurrent engineering and allowing simple interfacing between different design blocks.
