    • Ovum 2015 LTE predictions: Industry analytics firm Ovum is reporting that growth trends in the Middle Eastern and African telecom markets will continue in 2015.  Ovum expects the number of mobile subscriptions in Africa to increase by 9.7 percent in Africa and 4.9 percent in the Middle East.
    • Three major wireless players are working together to increase data transfer speed. Huawei, Qualcomm and EE are working on a 4G trial that has recorded data speed of 410 Mbps.
    • Vodafone India is expanding its operation to include enterprise products and services. The Indian subsidiary has targeted some 200,000 Indian businesses.
    • Australia’s largest carrier Telstra is purchasing Pacnet Limited for a reported $697 million. Pacnet owns and operates a number of undersea cables linking Asia and Pacific markets to the United States. Telstra is using the deal to expand in the Asian market.
