LONDON—Bahrain’s Batelco announced a further round of tariff cuts on its MobilePlus services. The rate cuts have been applied to a range of services, including registration, per-minute rates, monthly rental charges, short message service (SMS), mobile voice mail access and Internet over mobile services.
According to Batelco, the reduction in rates has been made possible by the economies of scale delivered by increased mobile uptake.
