EXEC TAKES LEAVE

LISLE, Ill.-Tellabs Inc. said its executive vice president and chief financial officer, Peter A. Guglielmi, is taking a temporary medical leave of absence. Michael J. Birck, Tellabs’ president and chief executive officer, will serve as CFO during the estimated two months Guglielmi’s will be gone.
