Dialogic | July 18, 2011 | Press Release

Video Design and Development Center in Noida Caters to Global Markets. Sanjay Singh, Vice President and General Manager of Dialogic India, examines new innovative drivers for the future growth of mobile value-added services in India.

New Delhi, 18 July, 2011 – Dialogic Inc. (NASDAQ: DLGC), a leading provider of communications technologies that power advanced networks, announced at the VAS Asia 2011 Conference and Exhibition that its new video design and development center in Noida, India will be the hub of research and development for the company’s video products and will cater to global markets. Sanjay Singh, Vice President and General Manager of Dialogic India, also addressed the conference as part of a speaking panel on, “New Innovative Drivers for the Future Growth of Mobile Value-Added Services (MVAS) in India.”

Video media server and video gateway products from Dialogic have enabled customers to deploy innovative mobile video services since the advent of 3G networks. Now, Dialogic’s video design and development center in India is enhancing the company’s capabilities in the expanding areas of video content adaptation, video streaming and video analytics that will help drive these future services.

“Mobile broadband networks are continuing their explosive growth, with video services being a key part of that growth. Dialogic expects to participate in the growth of the Mobile Video VAS market in India, and we intend to continue to supply our customers with unmatched video products and solutions to drive even more innovative video services,” said Uno Mehta, Vice President and General Manager, Video Business Unit at Dialogic. “With the opening of the India video design and development center a few months ago, we are now even better positioned to take advantage of the growth and innovation that continues to thrive in the industry. Additionally, this center significantly increases Dialogic’s presence in the important Indian market.”

With the exponential growth of smartphone use in India, there is a rising demand for Mobile Value Added Services (MVAS). At VAS Asia 2011, Singh explored this trend and discussed how it represents a unique opportunity for mobile operators to increase customer offerings and create new revenue opportunities. He also delved into the differences between consumer and business-oriented MVAS, taking a look at the success of mobile services focused on personalization, as well as the next generation of applications such as mobile video.

“This was our fifth year supporting VAS Asia and we were excited to demonstrate our expertise in mobile value added services to a growing audience,” said Kevin Cook, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at Dialogic. “Not only did the event tie in well with our emphasis on mobile value added services, and particularly video services, but it also helped us demonstrate our strong commitment to the Asia Pacific region. We are well-positioned to continue expanding our presence and fueling our customers in this region with innovative mobile value-added services.”
