NEW ORLEANS-Space Data Corp.’s chairman and chief executive officer Gerald Knoblach will lead a discussion on alternatives the tower industry can take to reach rural populations with wireless communications on Nov. 14, day 2 of the Tower Summit & Trade Show in New Orleans.
Space Data Corp. plans to deploy a constellation of its SkySites system to provide cellular service to rural areas next year. Space Data’s SkySites solution operates in the stratosphere 20 miles above the earth using weather balloon technology to provide wireless communication capability at a much lower cost than traditional satellites.
