Mobile Marketing Association adds members

BELLEVUE, Wash.-The Mobile Marketing Association continues to gain momentum, adding more than six dozen members worldwide in the last three months.

The nonprofit organization, which seeks to push the growth of mobile marketing by clearing industry obstacles and establishing best-practices guidelines, announced new members including America Online Inc., LogicaCMG, Mobile ESPN Publishing and T-Mobile USA Inc.

The MMA, which boasts more than 200 member companies, also established new chapters in Austria and Spain. Other members include all four U.S. Tier 1 carriers, Microsoft Corp., Mobile 365 Inc. and Openwave System Inc.

“As the association continues to grow, we are able to expand our initiatives to further define and build best practices within the global mobile marketing industry,” said Laura Marriott, the MMA’s executive director.
