Metro Networks to supply information updates to Leap

SAN DIEGO—The Telephone Entertainment Network of Leap Wireless International Inc., San Diego, has contracted to obtain information updates from the Metro Networks subsidiary of Westwood One.

Westwood One, managed by Infinity Broadcasting Corp., provides local news, sports, weather, traffic and other content to at least 7,700 radio stations.

Under the agreement announced Sept. 11, Metro Networks will supply the information to Leap, which in turn will aggregate and distribute updates to subscribers of its Slice service, which is the first channel on its Telephone Entertainment Network.

The Slice offering is available today to Leap’s Cricket customers in Phoenix, Ariz., Albuquerque, N.M., and Chattanooga and Nashville, Tenn.
