Helio adds KushTV to service

Mobile virtual network operator Helio L.L.C. isn’t losing track of its core market. The MVNO announced a new deal with KushTV to bring the multiplatform network’s original made-for-mobile episodic series to Helio’s content-loving subscribers.
“KushTV has earned a reputation for bringing great episodic series to millions of Internet users,” said Michael Grossi, senior VP of strategy and business development at Helio. “Their short-form reality programming is a great addition to our content lineup.”
KushTV’s shows include “The Loc Dog Show” starring Korn, “Perfect Picks” with E! Entertainment, “DJ Goddess,” “Beverly Hills Confidential” and “Ya Boy-Road to Riches.”
KushTV launched the various series earlier this summer and has quickly become the No. 1 growing channel on MySpace, according to the company.
“We are thrilled to partner with Helio on this exciting venture,” said Aaron Justin, co-founder of KushTV. “Helio’s audience is indicative of where mobile content is heading and we believe that our relationship with Helio will help redefine the experience for mobile content in a growing market.”
Helio’s subscriber base is up to 140,000 customers and the MVNO claims an average revenue per user of $90.
