TOKYO-Fujitsu Limited said it will collaborate with Advanced Media Inc. to develop chips that use distributed speech recognition software for the Japanese language in mobile phones, automotive systems and digital home-entertainment equipment.
“The new system significantly reduces power consumption and processor burdens at both the client and server end, opening up new possibilities in sectors that were previously constrained by software applications of speech technology,” said the companies.
