Apple is reportedly ordering displays for the iPhone 6, expected to launch this fall with a 4.7-inch screen. That would be a major change for the iPhone, which has stuck with its 4-inch screen even as rivals have grown bigger and bigger. Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S5 has a 5.1-inch screen and the newest version of the HTC One has a 5-inch screen. Apple has always focused on the quality of the iPhone display, but competitors are also improving their screen quality. Display Mate recently rated the S5 display as the best smartphone screen ever.
According to Reuters, Sharp, LG Display and Japan Display are all display vendors for the upcoming iPhone.
