Google Inc. isn’t done yet with its pursuit for mobile patents. The company just acquired 1,023 patents from International Business Machines Corp. for an undisclosed sum.
The patent buy comes right on the heels of the 17,000 patents Google stands to obtain through its $12.5 billion acquisition of Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. Google previously acquired another 1,030 patents from IBM in a transaction in July, according to Bloomberg.
