Over the next few months, Cuba will begin using the fiber-optic cable linking the island to Venezuela and Jamaica, local media reported, quoting Cuban’s deputy Information and Communications Minister Boris Moreno. Underwater cable will total 1,600 kilometers and represent the transfer from satellite services to fiber.
