China's 3 major telecom operators visit Taiwan

Officials from China’s three major telecom operators, namely China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, will come to Taiwan today to discuss partnership opportunities with their Taiwanese counterparts, the local United Evening News reported.

The officials will be part of a delegation led by Liu Aili, deputy chief executive of China Mobile.
The officials’ itineraries in Taiwan will be kept confidential, at the request of the delegation members, the paper reported.
However the paper revealed that the officials will meet with heads of Taiwan’s five major operators and discuss three main topics: reduction of roaming fees in each other’s territories, the setup of submarine cables, and 3G.
