Clearwire adds two markets to WiMAX lineup

Clearwire Corp. said it expanded its sales operations in Central Pennsylvania, which includes operations in Harrisburg, Reading, Lancaster and York. The company also named Curtis Heffelfinger as general manager for the area. Clearwire said it now covers more than 739,000 people in Central Pennsylvania. The carrier deployed its Philadelphia service late last year.
In addition, the company expanded its sales and retail operations in Houston and named John Smith general manager of that market. The carrier also plans to roll out WiMAX service in New York City, Boston, Washington, D.C., Kansas City, Denver, Minneapolis and the San Francisco Bay area.
