The following list details this week's infrastructure awards for the cellular, Wi-Fi, and WiMAX industries. The contracts are broken down by transmission technology, country and vendor. The value of the contract is included when available.
Cellular
--China: China Telecom chose ZTE to provide equipment for the first phase of a CDMA network construction project. The contract is valued at $195 million.
Miscellaneous
--South Africa: An undisclosed international carrier chose Ceragon Networks to provide its FibeAir 3200 system for wireless backhaul. The deal is valued at $1.5 million.
