Sprint Nextel adds Photobucket service

September 4 2008 - 12:55 pm ET | Colin Gibbs | RCR Wireless News

Sprint Nextel Corp. added Photobucket to its photo-messaging service, allowing users to send pictures to the popular online site with just two clicks.

The option was added to “Post to Service,” a feature that allows Sprint Nextel users to send photos to print-processing retail outlets or to CEIVA, an online photo-sharing service for digital picture frames. Post to Service options automatically appear on Sprint Nextel cameraphones after a picture is taken, and the service is free for Sprint Picture Mail subscribers.

Photobucket, which was acquired in 2007 by Fox Interactive Media for roughly $300 billion, introduced a mobile Web site earlier this year in an effort to attract more camera-phone users.
